Cateringpor was founded on June 24, 1994 and supplied the first long-haul TAP flight to New York on July 1st. An inaugural service achieved after all the planning work and foundation of the facilities, at the time considered colossal, which housed the best equipment and the most innovative software worldwide to ensure the best management of the catering operation.

Cateringpor is honored to be chosen to prepare, store and deliver some 15,000 meals for the grand opening of the Vasco da Gama Bridge. This feat was inscribed in the Guinness World Book of Records and was made possible by the fact that we are the only company in Portugal with the capacity for this volume of meals.

The tragic terrorist attacks in the United States in 2001 prompted a security revolution in the civil aviation sector. As a major operator in the aviation sector in Portugal, Cateringpor rose to the challenge of reviewing and integrating new safety processes and procedures. An internal revolution that has put Cateringpor at the forefront of best practices in the sector and consolidated its reputation as a reliable and quality supplier.

As a result of the success of its operation, Cateringpor identifies the need to expand and restructure the spaces in order to continue to give the best response to the requests resulting from the growth of the operation.

Cateringpor is committed to obtaining HALAL certification in order to prepare and serve these meals to potential new clients operating at Lisbon Airport.
